Notes: Title taken from Warm Whispers by Missy Higgins, which also inspired the general feel to this fic since I had it on repeat while writing. I haven't written a fic in well over 18 months, so please be gentle. Plus, this is my first footie fic ever, so be extra gentle :x

My current football fixation (and the subsequent/inevitable popping of my cherry re. of football fic) has inspired me to start a rec list. More for myself to keep track of my favourite fics than anything else, but I'll keep it unlocked for other people.

I expect this will only feature fics on football, My Chemical Romance, and Green Day. Not sure I'll be adding any fandom stuff, or different bandom, since I don't really read anything else. OKAY. Onto starting the list. I am only starting off with my absolute favourites right now, as it turns out making a rec list is tedious and time consuming. I'll be adding to it over time.

Summary: Gerard is in more than a mess when he is kicked out of Heaven, and the demon tracking him is certainly not helping him. Frank has a plan, though, and he needs the fallen angel for it to work. This is what happens when Heaven and Hell collide
Personal note: FAVOURITE. FIC. EVERRRRRRR. Just fucking read it.

Take the Pieces and Build Them Skywards by quarterturn (Frank/Gerard; NC-17; reaper AU)
Summary: Gerard's not happy with his life, but that doesn't mean he's particularly thrilled when he wakes up dead. To add insult to injury, he finds out that instead of crossing over, he's been chosen to join the ranks of the grim reapers. Things get more complicated when he falls for one of the living, a waiter named Frank Iero. And just when everything finally seems to be falling into place, Frank's name shows up on the list of souls to be reaped. Loosely based on the TV show Dead Like Me.
Personal note: This was the fic that turned me onto more ~supernatural type of AUs.

Summary: It starts with a giant crash just after dawn. The ceiling of Gerard's bedroom rattles with footsteps that don't head in any particular direction, just thunder aimlessly from side to side. Then more crashing. Sounds like dishes.

Summary: Twilight – The way Stephanie Mayer never intended it to be. Personal note: I was late to the MCR party, and thus, later still with getting into MCR fic. These two were the first long fics I read, and dear God, I could not have asked for a better introduction to long!fic <3 I've re-read part one a few times.

Summary: Gerard steps out in heels for Halloween. Everybody enjoys it. Some enjoy it more than others.
Personal note: Personally, I blame all of my crossdressing kinks on this fic alone. SO FUCKING UNF. If you're iffy about crossdressing, give it a go anyway. I was iffy before this, too.
